The Bridal Imperative

I tried logging on to the blog today from Google and my anti virus would not allow it saying it was unsafe (eventually I had to instruct it to treat it as an exception)- so hopefully readers are not experiencing the same issues.  It’s the first time this has happened and it’s really annoying as I know it will deter people from accessing the blog.

Anyway…

I had hoped to have finished Nurturing Talent by now but it went somewhere that I hadn’t expected which necessitated rewriting parts of it, if I was to wait until I fully completed it the chances are it could take another month or two and I don’t want readers to wait that long. So what I’ll do is try to come to some kind of  reasonable conclusion for this chapter which I’ll  post in the next week or two  and then hopefully  complete it for the following post – hope that makes sense.

In the meantime below is another captioned image that readers may like.

As always, many thanks to Jennifer for inserting the text which makes it so much easier to read.

Here we have a naive young male, that Mother Nature has unfortunately endowed with facial and physical characteristics that are more feminine than masculine. Having being taken to  a Bridal salon he assumes he is there to offer an opinion(silly boy) on various bridal gowns. However, he is soon trussed up in a voluminous ball gown style wedding dress with its heavy and bulky petticoats underneath.

Yes, dreadful I know but such are the devious minds of these women.

I confess, I like the idea that the only people wearing pants are the women and in my reading of this image he is also acutely aware of this and is now beginning to wonder what his role in the marriage will be.

Hope you enjoy it- I don’t think he does.

Take care

Carrie

  1. I haven't had any impediments to accessing this blog, though coincidentally, a minute before I happened to see this blog post, a different site was refusing me access unless I disabled my ad blocker, which I declined to do, since without the blocker, that site has a tendency to cause me to lose my internet connection for reasons I don't understand, though I feel it's related to the browser I'm using. Anyway, I can relate to how frustrating that can be.

  2. Thanks for the info Dave, I’m unsure if I have an ad blocker but now that you mention it I’ll have to recheck, whatever about the site not admitting you because of the blocker but losing a connection? That’s really weird. I think my issue was related to my VPN, but I haven’t had an issue since.

    1. Actually, what I have is antivirus software that doubles as an ad blocker. I didn't realize that was a feature when I got it a few months ago, but it's been handy up until now.

  3. Thanks for the info Dave, I could do with a decent ad blocker, I may have one but maybe I missed that feature on my AV.
